Princess Cruises have announced several new updates to its popular Princess Plus and Princess Premier packages, including Casual Dining, OceanNow delivery service, Room Service delivery, and express Green Lane embarkation.
New Casual Dining Tier
For voyages embarking August 2 and beyond, guests on Princess Plus and Princess Premier packages will have new fixed price dining options in the ship’s casual restaurants, including Vines, Salty Dog Pub, O’Malleys, Ocean Terrace, Planks, Steamers, Alfredo’s, and GiGi’s.
Prior to the announcement, there were two main dining tiers on Princess, Complimentary and Speciality Dining (with nominal charges varying by venue):

For Casual Dining, it should be noted that :
- Alfredo’s, which was previously complimentary, will now be subject to a nominal charge depending on which package you select when booking your cruise.
- If you are on the Premier Package all the other casual dining venues will now be free of charge.
- If you are on the new Plus Package (booked after 14th December 2022), then your first two meals on your cruise at any casual dining venue will be complimentary but subsequent meals will be subject to a cover charge of $14.99 or charged on a à la carte basis.
- If you are on the Standard Package, or the Original Plus Package (booked before 14th December 2022), then all your casual dining meals will be subject to a cover charge of $14.99 or charged on a à la carte basis.
- Kids under 12 will be charged 50%.

Check your Travel Summary via your cruise personaliser to confirm which package benefits you have purchased (if you only have Crew Appreciation/Wi-fi/Beverage Package then you have Original Plus).

1 Star Princess is still being built and the menus may change by the time it is launched.
2 Island Princess and Coral Princess offer an Alfredo’s reduced menu for sea day lunches in Sabatini’s.
3 Majestic Princess is now offering the Ocean Terrace menu for sea day lunches at The Catch by Rudi . From October 2023, Sky Princess has a new fixed price Ocean Terrace menu which is offered at lunch and alongside the à la carte menu in the evenings.
4 Not all Vines venues across the fleet have had the same level of food offerings and at the same time of the day – this may change.
5 Planks and Steamers are separate areas in the World Fresh Marketplace and have now re-opened on Caribbean Princess and Emerald Princess following the casual dining changes rollout.

We leave on the regal princess in 2 weeks and if I could get my money back, I would cancel it and never never go on a princess cruise again, what they forget is even elites are pissed off and there are many other cruise lines available. Or as I think, they do not care!

All of the mainstream cruise lines have made changes, had cutbacks and have increased prices. You need to take the blinders off if you think this is just going on with Princess. If you decide to leave and never come back, which we have recently done with X, then there will be another cruiser to take your place.
We’ve cruised Princess four times and happily have seven more booked. Once the Caribbean bookings open up for the Star, it’ll be double digits.
